Our project started by identifying the site: the north corner of the playing field. A key element of the site is a ditch, in which children of all age groups dig for the imaginative discovery of 'fossils'. Our project looked to address the children's desire for somewhere to store their rocks, but we also

wished to design something that would remain functional after the children
no longer used the site for digging. In response to this we created a scaffold board sculptural lattice, upon which children could store their discoveries. It also provided a space for the children to inhabit, interact with and make their own, creating a framework both for storage and their imaginations.
