Research overview:
Sean’s research attempts to strategize a method through which mass transit can be adaptively retrofitted into existing U.S. suburban road networks to serve as a catalyst for denser suburban redevelopment. The objective of Sean’s research is to advance social, environmental and economic sustainability in North American suburbs through transit driven development.
Sean’s research is at the intersection of architecture, public policy, sustainable development, urban economics and urban design.
Biography:
Sean is a first-year, full-time self-funded PhD student. Sean completed his undergraduate studies at Harvard University where he graduated Cum Laude in History of Art and Architecture (2022). Sean has studied at DIS Copenhagen, where he studied architecture and urban livability. Sean completed the Cambridge University MPhil in Architecture and Urban Studies (2023) before beginning his PhD. Sean enjoys rowing and producing music in his free time.
