For students that have never studied at Cambridge University:
- If you have never studied at the Department of Architecture Cambridge University, then you are not entitled to use our PSAs. Please do not sign up for our Part 1 PSA system.
- The RIBA does have a monitoring service for students without a PSA - https://www.architecture.com/education-cpd-and-careers/studying-architecture/riba-pedr-monitoring
For students that were a student at Cambridge University for their Part 1 but have now gone on to study elsewhere for their Part 2 or Part 3:
- As you are no longer studying with Cambridge University, you are no longer entitled to a PSA from us. It is the responsibility of your current place of study to provide you a PSA.
- If they can’t provide a PSA for you then the RIBA does have a monitoring service for students without a PSA - https://www.architecture.com/education-cpd-and-careers/studying-architecture/riba-pedr-monitoring
A note for those that are thinking about applying to our Part 3 course:
The Part 3 course assumes you will have your Post-Part 1 experience PEDRs up to date before starting the course. Candidates who have an up-to-date PEDR are certainly at an advantage in terms of assessing their application.
Once accepted on the course you will be assigned a Part 3 PSA to cover the 12 months of Post-Part 2 experience completed during length of the course (Where relevant there is also an opportunity to bring any additional PEDR up to date). The Part 3 PSA fee is included in your Part 3 course fee.
If you are imminently about to apply for Part 3 course, we would recommend that you clarify your particular PEDR requirements with the Course Director at interview.
