The Percussion Wall was built with 1st year architecture students in Cambridge for the Cambridge Junction arts venue. The group recycled 1000 water cooler bottles and learnt to tie a wealth of rigging knots in order to make the 5 metre by 60 metre performance wall. The students arranged an opening event that included a drumming workshop by a professional drummer. The structure was in-situ for one month enlivening and en-loudening a slightly tame public space and providing a new temporary façade to The Junction venue.
This project was sponsored by The Department of Architecture, Karakusevic Carson Architects and CAA.
