Department of Architecture

We are delighted to congratulate Alfred Yeung (MAUD 2018–2020) on being shortlisted as a 2025 New Architect in the prestigious AJ100 New Talent awards. The shortlist recognises emerging voices in architecture making an impact through both design and thought leadership.

Alfred’s professional journey has continued to evolve beyond his time at Cambridge, with a growing portfolio of writing and research featured in magazines and forthcoming books. He credits his formative training at the MAUD programme as instrumental in shaping his trajectory.

In addition to Alfred, two other designers with ties to the University of Cambridge have also been recognised: Jefferson Chan, a fellow MAUD alumnus, and Allyah Mitra Nandy, an incoming Part II student at the Department of Architecture, are each shortlisted in their respective categories.

Congratulations to all the nominees on this outstanding recognition.
