Faculty member, Dr. Gath-Morad has been awarded an SNF grant (£770,000) as a Co-PI, alongside Christoph Hölscher (ETH Zurich) and Ruth Conroy Dalton (Northumbria University), for the EVIDENT project, which investigates how Emergency Department (ED) design influences healthcare workers' face-to-face (F2F) interactions, communication, and patient care quality. The interdisciplinary team, including project partners Hugo Sax, Leonel Aguilar, Minou Afzali, Kerstin Sailer, Patrik Honegger, Ksenija Slankamenac, as well as collaborators Raphael Baur, Jascha Grubel and, Jan Schmutz will use spatial analysis, wearable sensors, agent-based simulations, and co-design workshops to develop evidence-based tools to improve ED designs, enhancing staff collaboration and patient outcomes.
