Meredith Bowles (Director, Mole Architects)

Using examples of built and proposed work, this talk will explore strategies for construction and thermal comfort in houses and workplace buildings, and show to what extent the technical strategy of the buildings informs the early design process and eventual form of the buildings.

Meredith Bowles is the Director of Mole Architects, based in Cambridge. Educated at Sheffield University and the Architectural Association, Meredith taught at Cambridge between 2007-2011, and is currently External Examiner at the University of Nottingham. Mole Architects have been designing timber buildings for 20 years, and are winners of over 20 national and regional awards including the RIBA Manser Medal and the RIBA Stephen Lawrence Prize.
