Applications are invited for a fixed-term appointment as a Teaching Associate in the field of environmental design in architecture, from 1 September 2018 for 12 months.

The role holder will be part of the lecturing team in Architecture and will be expected to contribute to undergraduate teaching principally in the area of environmental design in architecture and sustainability, which is a central element in the Department's three technical teaching strands (construction; structural design; environmental design). The candidate will contribute to teaching by leading a Tripos course in environmental analysis and design and its broader integration with studio design projects, and will be expected to make a substantial contribution to lecturing and teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels. This will include contributing to postgraduate teaching, notably MPhil core seminars in sustainability and environmental design, and research methods; the role holder will also be required to contribute to the teaching of CAD and similar methodologies and skills.

Candidates must have a very good first degree in Architecture, or a design-related professional degree, and be qualified to PhD level in Architecture or a closely-related subject area (e.g. engineering, design).
