Thomas Powell, a former graduate student of the Department of Architecture, received an award from Hays plc for Best Student - MPhil in Environmental Design in Architecture (Option B). Tom gave a presentation on his project which focuses on agricultural change and development in England’s smaller rural settlements which was followed by the awarding of a certificate and prize by Grainne Cassidy, a representative from Hays plc.
Tom is currently working for Satellite Architects in London, where his work includes the development of several rural and agricultural estates and other building projects within rural contexts.
The Department of Architecture extends its congratulations to Tom on his receipt of this award.
