Biography

Rory James Sherlock is an architect. He currently teaches at the University of Cambridge and the Architectural Association, edits books and journals, including AA Files, writes for various publications and runs a design studio. Rory has previously taught at the Royal College of Art, and he occasionally builds large-scale sculptures and runs Media Studies courses as one half of F.O.A.M.

Before starting his own practice with Francesca Romana Dell’Aglio, Rory worked for OMMX, where he was the Project Lead for an ongoing and highly publicised affordable housing scheme for Naked House, a not-for-profit developer. He has also built projects for the Venice Biennale of Architecture and Alexander Brodsky, and his independent work has been exhibited internationally.
