Biography
Educated at University College, London and the Warburg Institute, he is an architectural historian (and architectural editor of Country Life in 1998-2007), and a regular contributor to Country Life and other journals, as well as a former National Trust curator (AHBR for East Anglia). He is author and co-editor of numerous books on historic houses and related subjects, and is an affiliated lecturer of the department of architecture and history of art at the University of Cambridge. He is also tutor to the SPAB Plunket scholarship, as well as serving as a trustee of the Historic Houses Foundation; with his wide ranging knowledge of historic buildings, his wide network of expert contacts and broad experience in the field Jeremy is extremely well placed in advising and contributing to reports and discussions about historic country houses, as well as historic college or cathedral complexes.
