Department of Architecture
Giles Smith is an architect, educator and writer. He is a co-founder of architecture collective Assemble and play organisation Assemble Play, and prior to teaching at Cambridge has taught at the Architectural Association, London School of Architecture and University of Westminster. His architectural work ranges from whole industrial neighbourhoods to individual rural dwellings. He is a member of the Lewisham Design Review Panel and has recently co-edited a pair of books on rural issues called Common Treasures.
