I have been a Reader in Architectural and Planning History and a fellow of King’s College. I teach the history of architecture and architectural theory and the history of planning. My last book, Planning the Post-War World, Modern Architecture and Reconstruction in Britain (2003) focused on reconstruction in Britain.
My current research has extended to issues of reconstruction in Europe, particularly France and Germany, after the war.
