Jude Harris (Director at Jestico + Whiles)
Jestico + Whiles were selected to design the Cavendish III Laboratory at West Cambridge in late 2015. The design was awarded panning approval in mid 2018 and works started on site in late 2018. The practice was also selected for the design of the Shared Facilities Hub on the opposite side of the JJ Thomson Gardens, which will provide additional facilities for all staff and students at West Cambridge. Both buildings will be a significant addition to the West Cambridge masterplan and will set a benchmark for the future development of this expanding campus.
SPEAKER’ S BIO:
Jude Harris is a Director at Jestico + Whiles. He has led multi-disciplinary teams on many award-winning education projects, including the Cavendish III Laboratory. Jude also plays an active role in the practice’s cultural and heritage portfolio, which has included the refurbishment and creative re-use of significant heritage buildings, including Sir John Soane’s Pitzhanger Manor. Jude enjoys working collaboratively with clients and design teams to deliver a wide range of building types using innovative forms of procurement, focussed on providing high quality outcomes.
