Cambridge TV interviews the Natural Materials and Structures group

The group, together with UN-Habitat, have designed a Community Centre through participatory design in Mathare, one of the biggest and oldest slums of Nairobi. 

The completed design of 26x16m is made out of gabions, bamboo and timber.The ground floor is composed by a hall, a clinic, a patio and toilets. The first floor by a library, a daycare, an office, a classroom, a radio station and a kitchen. Its future users are now raising funds to build it.
