Biography

Kewei is currently a Research Associate at the University of Cambridge, contributing to the Public Map Platform project with a focus on social value and supporting ecosystems for green transitions on the Isle of Anglesey/Ynys Môn. She holds a PhD and a Master's degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Sheffield. Her doctoral research explored how people perceive designed naturalistic plantings and the natural environment in both rural and urban settings in China.

With a solid foundation in environmental design from her research and educational background, Kewei is passionate about creating sustainable and livable spaces, while also understanding how these spaces are received by the public. Additionally, Kewei is interested in environmental education, working to bridge the gap between academic research and practical application by translating complex academic theories into accessible, jargon-free insights for the broader public. In doing so, she seeks to enhance public knowledge and understanding of the changing environment and inspire actionable responses to climate change.
