Biography
Rod Heyes studied architecture at the University of Cambridge and at London Metropolitan University. He has worked for Caruso St John Architects since 1998 and has been a director there since 2005. Rod was the project architect for the refurbishment of the Barbican Concert Hall, the Brick House, and Chiswick House Café. He directed the practice’s work at Tate Britain and at Stockholm City Library and led the team on the Falconhoven project in Antwerp. He is currently working on schemes in London, Cambridge, Oxford, and Arbroath. Rod has taught architecture since 2001 including roles at Bath University, Kingston University and at London Metropolitan University. In 2020, Rod was Visiting Professor of Architecture at TU Wien. Alongside his practice and teaching, Rod recently completed an MSc in Building Conservation from the University of York.
