Biography
Pati Santos is a registered Architect (ARB / RIBA) and WELL Accredited Professional. With over 15 years’ experience in the architecture sector, she has worked on a wide range of projects. For seven years, she worked for Lily Jencks Studio and JencksSquared with Charles Jencks. Previously, she co-founded the multidisciplinary practice equipopropio in Spain. Her projects, both led by herself and in collaboration with other practices, have been widely published and recognised with different prestigious awards and she was recently shortlisted for the RIBAJ Rising Star 2020.
In 2020, she founded The Good Thing, a design think-tank based in London examining well-being in architecture through an evidence-based approach, aiming to improve people’s lives. Their portfolio includes projects that span scales from architecture and public space to interiors and product design, all inspired by nature and people. The Good Thing also offers consultancy services on health and well-being strategies in the built environment.
Alongside practice, Pati is an Associate Lecturer at Central Saint Martins and Design Fellow at University of Cambridge both in the BA Architecture programs.
