Biography

Beatie is an architect, cultural masterplanner and conservation strategist, with a particular focus on the creative transformation of existing buildings and landscapes.

Prior to establishing her own practice in 2025, Beatie was Associate Director at Haworth Tompkins, where she led a number of complex built projects for cultural and educational institutions, including Pembroke College, The De La Warr Pavilion, Bristol Old Vic and The Victoria & Albert Museum. Building on her wider experience in strategic masterplanning and regenerative design, Beatie also recently led a pilot study for Historic England and the Arts Council on the decarbonisation of listed buildings in the cultural and heritage sector.

Beatie has recently returned to teaching at Cambridge, following roles as a 2nd year design fellow and MPhil guest tutor in 2014 – 2015.
