Dr Simon Ladouce

Dr Simon Ladouce is an Associate Researcher at the Cambridge Cognitive Architecture lab, working at the intersection of cognitive neuroscience, human-computer interaction, and architecture. His research examines the dynamic interplay between brain, body, and environment, with a particular focus on how environmental context, both natural and built, shapes human perception, attention, and behaviour in naturalistic settings. His work combines portable neuroimaging and body-based sensing methods, including mobile EEG, eye-tracking, and motion sensors, with AI-based approaches such as spatial computing, computer vision, and human activity recognition to provide contextualised insights into human cognition as it unfolds during everyday activities. Through ecologically grounded measurements of brain, body, and behaviour, Dr Ladouce’s work aims to inform evidence-based design approaches that promote health, wellbeing, and performance across both clinical and neurotypical populations.
