Dr Jamil Nur

Dr. Jamil Nur holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Sciences Po (Paris) and is currently a Post-doctoral researcher at the Martin Centre for Architectural & Urban Studies housed within the Department of Architecture at Cambridge. His research focuses on new spatial economic models integrating labor markets and transportation with land use. Prior to his current appointment, he worked at the Department of Economics studying the relation between population dynamics and the valuation of residential land. His specialisation– at the intersection between labor economics and the housing market– has allowed him to develop an original perspective on urban issues that affect the current networks of cities, while focusing on land use, population dynamics, labor skills concentration, and commuting flows.
