Michael Riebel (Architect, Researcher, Hawkins/ Brown)

Michael Riebel is an architect and researcher at Hawkin/ Brown's in-house thinktank &/Also, which sythensises aggregated architectural expertise while speculating on future forms and practice of built environment. Michael has a background in art history, sociology and architecture and has worked on a large variety of projects and studies, including works for Daniel Libeskind, FCB Studios and the Farrell review.

Michael's talk is about architectural research and how it integrates with the practice of Hawkins\ Brown. Architectural Research in practice offers a unique interface between practice and theory, demonstrated through projects of various sizes and complexity, from speculation about the relation between kitchen design and workplace culture to the research underpinning the brief for a new university in Milton Keynes.
