The future of African cities was high on the conference agenda, a topic that was discussed by experts from Uganda and South Africa, and academics from Harvard. Felipe Hernandez, Chair of Cities South of Cancer, represented the University of Cambridge and spoke about the role of design and education in the development of cities. Last Monday 20 April, Dr Hernandez presented his concept of Articulatory Urbanism at the Graduate School of Design, Harvard University. He spoke at a public lecture co-sponsored by the GSD and the Ash Center for Democratic Governance and Innovation.
