PhD student Alex Schweder exhibits ‘performance architecture’

last modified Aug 14, 2014 11:15 AM

Alex Schweder’s ‘performance architecture’ explores the permeable relationship between people and their built environment – the subject of his PhD research under the supervision of Professor Koen Steemers. His installations and event-based work explores the affect this relationship has on a person’s body, social relationships, and desires. His work has been exhibited internationally, including at Tate Britain, New York’s Sculpture Center, the Venice Biennale, the Lisbon Triennale, and most recently at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art and the Boiler in Brooklyn.
