Tom Holbrook (Director, 5th Studio, Design Advisor, the Greater London Authority, Qulaity Panel Member, the London Legacy Development Corporation, Built Environment Expert, Design Council CABE.

Tom's deisgn research has developed an approach to strategic thinking that explores the dynamic between architecture and the scale of infrastructure and landscape.

Recent work includes leading on the international award-winning Lea River Park, and masterplans for the London Olympic fringe, for which the practice was awarded 'Masterplanning Architect of the Year 2012' by Building Design. 5th Studio are Architects for a number of college projects in Cambridge and Oxford, and have a particular interest in spaces for creativity: for example, the Creative Exchange shared workplace project in St Neots (RIBA and BCIA Local Authority Awards).

Biography: Tom is a Design Advisor for the Greater London Authority, a member of the Quality Panel for the London Legacy Development Corporation, and a Built Environment Expert for Design Council CABE. Tom is an External Examiner at London Metropolitan University and the MARCH School, Moscow, and has 'Visiting Practice' status at the London School of Economics Cities Programme. Tom regularly contributes critical writing and opinion to the architectural press.
